(March 21-April 19)
Stop arriving late and instead try leaving earlier than usual. Not having to rush around and apologize for your lateness will greatly improve your day-to-day.
(April 20-May 20)
Apologizing For Everything
While it’s good to own up to your mistakes, apologizing all the time is completely unnecessary. If you find yourself apologizing too often, try to train yourself to cut back on the number of times you say “sorry.”
(May 21-June 20)
Playing On Your Phone
Yes, technology is EVERYWHERE and controls us. However, you should focus on being present when you can. So much of life happens when you simply look up from your phone.
(June 21-July 22)
Focusing On The Negatives
While maybe you don’t like your assigned project at work. Or maybe it’s a little too hot today. Perhaps, they put pickles on your sandwich when you specifically told them not to. Whatever it may be, sometimes things go wrong. That is life. Focusing on the negatives will just soil your day and your mood. Instead, try to focus on the positives of your day and enjoy the things that are bringing you happiness.
(July 23-August 24)
While emergencies do come up and sometimes you truly are not feeling well, canceling due to laziness is a poor excuse. You don’t want to be known as that “flaky” friend so if you make plans, stick with them.
(August 23-September 22)
Even though it is tempting to keep making excuses, you need to work on owning up to your actions and mistakes. It is much more refreshing when you admit to your faults than when you make excuses every step of the way. Be honest with yourself and with others.
(September 23-October 22)
Acting Overly Sensitive
You have full autonomy to cry and feel upset when you want to, however in your life there will be people who are rude, sassy, and mean to you. (October 23-November 21)
Sometimes you have a tendency to blow things out of proportion. We have all been there, but overreacting will never solve any of your problems. If anything, overreacting will just create more problems. Next time you feel the need to blow up, remind yourself that there may be a healthier way to handle a situation.
(November 22-December 21)
Taking Everything So Seriously
Life has it’s ups and downs and in the long run it won’t do you well to take everything so seriously. While there are serious moments in life, allow yourself to develop a sense of humor for small every day moments.
(December 22-January 19)
Obsessing Over Your Appearance
It’s easy to always want to look your best, however don’t let your looks be a prime point of insecurity and obsession. You are stunning, radiant, and flawless just as you are. Obsessing over how you look will just cause you to doubt your naturally amazing self.
(January 20-February 18)
Running Away From Your Problems
Adversity is not for the faint of heart, but it’s how we learn and how we grow. If you keep constantly running away from your problems, you will never be able to learn how to overcome them. Give yourself time to tackle the issues in front of you and learn how to better handle them in the future.
(February 19-March 20)
Always Taking The Easy Way Out
Sometimes decisions boil down to “what’s easy” and “what’s right.” While you can make the easy decision every now and again, let yourself also do “what’s right,” even if it is a little harder.
